Urban Homesteading Resources
We often get questions from people searching for animal / farm related items and services as well as emails from local suppliers wanting us to help spread the word about them. So we thought we would put all that information here in our Resources section. (On the flip side, EatWhereULive does not endorse any of the companies/individuals listed we just wanted to put information at your finger tips!)
Check back often as we keep updating this page with more of our favorite urban homesteading resources.
For more resources, check out this list from the resource section of “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Urban Homesteading.” There are some fantastic books and websites mentioned here.

Are you needing time away from your urban farm for work or play? Do
you have a flock of chickens that needs tended to? Seedling trays that
need watering since Spring has sprung? Animals-large and small that
need cared for?
I can help with chicken sitting and urban farm sitting. I bring my
experience of living on an urban farm and farm sitting here in Denver,
as well as having grown up on and worked on animal and vegetable
farms. I have ample experience with the four legged and two legged
critters-including chickens, goats, cows, dogs, cats, pigs. I can also
water your seedlings and garden once the season is upon us.
I’ve taken part in the Coop tour, the Denver County Fair, and was a
vet tech with large and small animals in the past.
Chicken sitting services can include letting the chickens in/out of
the coop, feeding, watering, gathering the eggs, cleaning the coop as
Urban farm sitting and chicken sitting available in the Denver Metro
area. References available upon request.
Email me for further info and rates, and I look forward to meeting your flock!
