About Dwarf Goats
Nigerian Dwarf and African Pygmy are breeds of miniature dairy goats.
These goats grow to 19 inches tall at the shoulder (24 inches tall at the head) and about 50-55 pounds.

Kitchen scraps, most garden waste, hay, and grain. Goats are herbivores.
Adequate shelter must be provided. At least 130 square feet of fenced outdoor space per animal is preferable. Fence should be at least 4 feet tall.
Goat manure is not toxic (unlike the feces of cats and dogs), and can be safely composted.
Risk to Humans
Female and neutered male goats do not bite. Goats in Colorado do not need to be vaccinated against any diseases that transfer to humans.
Goat milk is more easily digested than cow milk because the fat molecules are smaller. Many people who can’t drink cow milk can safely consume goat milk.
